Irony is an interpretative use of language where a propositional content and an attitude towards it or towards an implied assumption is manifested, which gives rise to a series of weak implications that provoke certain effects such as humour or criticism. This article analyses the dialogues or narrative texts of Woody Allen's film Annie Hall from the theory of eco mention. The results confirm recurrent uses in the construction of the ironic dialogues of the film Annie Hall, which are based on the use of mentions that manifest a noncommitment to the truth of the statements issued. Likewise, the ecocultural statements belonging to the socio-cultural field bring a set of beliefs and attitudes of an experiential or cultural nature, a fact that is manifested in each of the comments of Alvy (protagonist), who in one way or another seeks to impose his intellectual personality against the simplicity of Annie (co-protagonist). The main motivation of the ironic statements in Annie Hall's text is the mockery, the sarcastic criticism of various cultural and personal facts.es_ES
